Q1: What is the philosophy behind KIB – Executive & Boards?
“We want to change the common thinking from gender to persons, thus avoiding among other things unconscious bias. Women represent 38% af the persons at the private workforce but have only 15% of the top management and 19% of the board positions in Denmark. That we want to change. Not because they are women, but because they can give a far better return on investment. Today women represent 60% of the student intake at the universities. We want society to profit more from this.”

Q2: The mission – what do you do?

“We make our members take the extra step up on the career ladder. This is done in carefully formed groups and individually with KIB’s advisors. On top member will join a growth company’s advisory board or be recommended to a board position in among others life science firms.”

Q3: The purpose of KIB in life science?

“KIB wants our members from life science to be ready for joining the industry companies’ advisory boards or boards. Most of them hold VP or SVP positions in some of the largest companies. We want the industry to let them in because they are well educated, trained and possess the qualifications asked for.”
